Romance was in the (chilly) air

On a Friday in early February, I got an urgent message from Rachel requesting an outdoor engagement photo shoot the following Monday. The client's original photographer had cancelled (OMG!). Of course I said "Yes!" and agreed to meet the couple at Mohegan Park in Norwich, CT. I've been there lots of times, but never on a gray day in the middle of winter! During warmer months, the park is green and filled with flowers, including gorgeous roses, ferns, fountains and other pretty vignettes. I wasn't quite sure what to expect, but knew that the most important thing would be to capture Rachel and John.
